Issued by WCAVA
Just to make sure you know that a Level 3 Heatwave Alert has been issued. This was Level 2 yesterday but has now been upgraded. Please see forwarded emails below and the attached documents for more information and useful links. Key points from the information I have forwarded are as follows:
Take some time to think of any vulnerable people you work with or know (particularly older people, young children and babies or anyone with serious health illnesses) and try to ensure that they stay hydrated, keep out of the sun as far as possible and use sun cream and a hat if they must be outdoors, avoid physical exertion and wear light and loose fitting cotton clothing. It is also important to keep medicines below 25C and to never leave anyone (or an animal) in a locked and parked car.
Do take care in the heat.
